Our sincere thanks must go to Claude and Teresa for sending this lovely lady to us from Texas USA. She has an impeccable pedigree which is reflected in her movement and conformation. Although Spice was unsettled by her travelling experience, after wintering here at Holebrook she has been accepted by the herd and is now enjoying her western training with Ange. We don`t have favorites here usually, but we think Ange has a secret!!!!!!

INDY and “MILKY PARR KID”

We are so thrilled here at Holebrook with the arrival of Indy`s first foal from Tyree Sunup Zan Parr Just a few hours old and already up on lovely strong straight legs. He is a stunning colt and a mirror image of his of dad. Our special thanks must go to Joanne at the Roslyn stud for her help in making this lad possible. He will be known as Holebrook Milky Parr Kid!!

MR GOOSE & SON

Strange things sometimes happen at Holebrook and this is no exception!! One of our Muscovey ducks decided to nest with the Geese, both females sat beside each other during incubation quite happily, but some how eggs got mixed up and the Muscovey hatched this little fella. Both Goose and Duck are continuing to incubate the remaining eggs, so Mr Goose has taken the role of both parents except when baby gets cold, in which case he scurries off to the goose house and nestles between the two sitting females. He is so grown up and mimics everything his father does, the wonder of nature never ceases to amaze us!!

There comes a time when one must put aside one’s farm type duties and go smell the roses! so to speak, pull on one’s sneakers surf the kitchen top and boogie. Hmmm! almost got carried away then!!!!!!!

Mel wins at welks

After dealing with girly things, Melody returned to the show ring sporting a new coat, not quite looking her best yet, but worthy of winning best open bitch, bitch CC and best of breed at Welks ( West of England Ladies Kennel Society) under judge Mr Frank Kane. She then went on to win second in the working group under judge Mr Keith Nathan. Mel shared her day with two of her kids, both of whom were placed in the top three of their respective classes. Special thanks must go to the judges who thought so highly of our dogs and to the show organisers for another very successful show in some-what wet and trying conditions, attracting 1318 entries in the working group.

Meddle and Daisy

Meddle our black mare, has just presented us with a gorgeous coloured filly, she will be known as Tickners Daisy. Another beautifully structured foal by Puzzle.

BLUE IRIS and `PEGGLES`

Blue Iris, one of our grey mares, has just presented us with our first 2012 Shetland foal, a filly and as with tradition will be named after a wild flower. This year the Peggles (cowslips) have flowered early, so she will known as Tickners Peggles, at the moment we think a black, but she could go grey!!! Another lovely foal from Puzzle.

Ocean and Pheobe

Hey Ocean, check out the Donkey foals,! yea Pheobe, would be so cool to go and play!!!!!!! At Holebrook we encourage the inter-action with all our animals, here two of our Bernese youngsters are having a chat with the new Donkey foals.
