Bees and Butterflies buisy filling up on the last of the nectar Winters coming,Ugh!!!

Managed to catch the baby Swallows before they departed, amazing how they can fly as soon as they leave the nest!!!

It has been a good summer here at Holebrook for the Swallows, they have managed two clutches, this is the last nest about to fledge, little do they know of the journey they will soon embark on. We wish them well and look forward to they`re return next year!!!!

From Womb mates, to bosom pals!!

First glimpses of our new puppies just a few hours old born to Mocha (CH Tickbern Never say Never) x Tickbern Over the Moon (Jake) 3 girls 2 boys.

It`s now summer at Holebrook and the flowers keep coming, Foxgloves, Thistle and Orchids, such a beautiful time of year!!

That time again, fair weather over the past week has allowed us to crack on with haylage and hay making. The kids ( Jake & Mel pictured) have supervised the cut, while Eve, at ten years old still manages to get on top of quality control. The start of the fifth day saw fields of round bales, (a bumper crop) ground drying, a chance to get them in to the barns and by 8pm job done!!!

A new skewbald colt born at midnight to Misty Morning of Catchpool, mother and son doing well. He will be known as Tickners Rockin Robin.

Spring is always a beautiful time of year at Holebrook and 2014 is no exception, wild flowers are glorious, and the new buds bursting, birds nesting, hay fields full of grass, dogs at last are almost mud free!! Mother nature at her best!!!!!

Had a very successful Crufts 2014 with Team Tickbern, CH Tickbern Miss-Chief (Mel) 1^st open bitch CC and reserve best of breed, CH Tickbern Never say Never (Mocha) 2^nd open bitch, Tickbern Over the Moon (Jake) 2^nd limit dog, Tickbern Ridin` High (Fred) 1^st special yearling dog. Huge thanks to judge Mrs Jackie Green for thinking so highly of our dogs and to everyone who sent messages of congratulations.   

Just back from the Bernese specialty in Hampton Virginia USA, huge congratulations to all the winners, but also a huge congratulations to the combined clubs for an amazing show. Penny and I had just the best time, thank you to all the Berner folk who made us so welcome and we look forward to staying in touch with new found friends.
